Historic Restoration – WASHINGTON TERRACE street, Saint Louis MO.
We recently completed the reconstruction of a section of the perimeter crown (soffit and fascia) and parapet wall tuckpointing of a historic home that was in an advanced state of deterioration. Once we removed the outer wood components, we discovered the entire internal structure was completely rotted and loose.
The scope of work included:
– Scaffolding design and setup, supplied by our partner Ultimate Scaffolding from Saint Louis
– Fabrication and installation of new brackets
– Replacement of flat sections with fir wood
– Custom craftsmanship of moldings in sapele hardwood, replicating the original design
– Application of epoxy coating and airless spray painting (primer + finish)
– Repairs to the upper roof section (roofing and flashings)
– Full tuckpointing of the parapet wall above the restored area
Preserving history requires commitment, skill, and deep respect for original details. We’re proud to be part of projects like this.
